At Assista In-Home Care, one of our main goals is to help people age gracefully and comfortably in their own homes. We deliver as much or as little support as needed, always with an attitude of respect to our aging clients and to the family members who love them.
Our services are based on a flexible hourly model, with caregivers available round-the-clock or for as little as four hours per day. We understand that the needs of our clients may change from time to time, so you always have the option of increasing or decreasing the level of care provided.
Our options include:
- 24-hour care (in shifts)
- Live-in care
- Morning and afternoon care
- Hospice care (both long and short term bedside care for clients who are terminally ill)
- Hospital sitter service
- Post-surgical and recovery care
- Personal hygiene
- Transportation (medical and non-medical visits)
- Homemaking (cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc.)
- Assistance with errands, exercise, feeding, bathing, dressing, and incontinence care
- Medication assistance
- Meal preparation
- Personal grooming
- Light housekeeping
So, how much support is needed? 24-hour care isn’t always required. Ask yourself if you or a loved one is experiencing the following:
- Difficulty making decisions
- Lack of personal hygiene
- Forgetting to pay bills
- Lack of appetite
- Poor nutrition
If any of this sounds familiar, then some form of in-home support may be warranted. Assista offers Homemaker/Companion Care, Rise and Shine or Tuck-In Service, and Respite Care.
Sometimes, all that’s needed is a little help. Seniors who are experiencing difficulty with day-to-day tasks or who find themselves becoming forgetful may need a bit of assistance with routine matters. Our dedicated, compassionate staff will help with housework, personal hygiene, meal preparation and other details that can make it easier for seniors who wish to remain in their own homes. We provide not just labor, but companionship and care, with a genuine interest in the emotional well-being of our clients, as well as their physical comfort.
Rise and Shine or Tuck-in Care
Often, the most difficult parts of the day for a senior living alone are getting up in the morning and going to bed at night. Tired joints, aching muscles, and looking after all the details of beginning the day or winding it down can become problematic. With Assista’s Rise and Shine or Tuck-in Care service, you don’t have to worry about making sure that your loved one has breakfast in the morning, takes the medications he or she needs, and is ready to begin the day. At night, your cherished senior will be safely put to bed, assisted with medications if necessary, and the home will be thoroughly checked for safety issues and then locked up securely.
Perhaps you’ve been struggling with caring for an aging parent who is resistant to the idea of moving to a continuing care facility, and you’re feeling burned out. That’s a common condition, especially among members of the “sandwich generation” who are caring for elderly parents while simultaneously trying to raise a family of their own. Assista can help. You need time for yourself, and we’d be more than happy to look after your loved one while you have a spa day, take in a movie or two, or just do whatever pleases you for a change.
